Together with our families
An evening of vows, dinner, dancing, and celebrating with the people who have made our journey so special
Our Story
Our story began with a Hinge match in December 2022. Rachel made the first move with a simple “hello” on what turned out to be her first—and last—day on the app. George was half-convinced he was being catfished, but answered anyway. Somehow, that tiny hello became the start of everything.
Our first date was pizza-making and a walk through the park. The next day, Rachel tested positive for Covid and assumed the spark might fade before it had really begun. Instead, George spent the week dropping off medicine, checking in, and planning movie nights from afar. Somewhere in those early days, we also learned that Rachel’s mom remembered George from visiting their salon years earlier in high school—a small reminder that our paths may have crossed long before we knew it.
We quickly discovered how much we shared: the same values, the same hopes for a life built with intention, and personalities different enough to keep life interesting. We made things official on February 3, 2023. Rachel fell in love with George’s honesty, emotional intelligence, and openness; George loved Rachel’s warmth, thoughtfulness, and the joy she brings wherever she goes.
Six months later, George moved to Austin for his MBA, beginning two years of long distance. It was not always easy, but monthly visits, everyday calls, ordinary chores done together over the phone, and constant encouragement made the miles feel smaller. Those years taught us how to choose each other while still giving each other room to grow.
When George returned to Dallas in the summer of 2025, being in the same city again felt like coming home. Then Rachel made the first move one more time and asked, “Would you ever consider a courthouse wedding?” George’s answer was simple: “That’s a great idea.” On October 31, 2025—exactly 1,001 days after becoming official—we were married before a judge and three friends. Now we get to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
